PURPOSE AND TASKS OF THE SOCIETY
The association "Latvijas Nationala Kūdras Biedrība" was founded with the aim of promoting the cooperation of organizations involved in the management and research of bogs and peat resources for the promotion of sustainable management of peat resources in Latvia.
Development of the 2050 strategy for the sustainable use of bog and peat resources
To actively participate in the development of state strategies and regulatory acts, industry policy at the national and international level
Cooperate with natural and legal persons, state and local government institutions, merchants, non-governmental organizations at the national and international level, promote their involvement, improvement of knowledge and mutual cooperation, understanding and communication in order to jointly find solutions for sustainable management of bogs, as well as to achieve the goal of the association
By organizing trainings and events, promote the improvement of the qualifications of companies involved in peat extraction and processing in order to implement sustainable bog management oriented towards environmental protection and the achievement of climate goals
Develop and implement projects and programs, the necessity of which is determined by the laws of Latvia and the European Union or which are necessary to promote the development of the industry;
